About Thundr Mobile
An independent, browser-based 1-on-1 video chat service. Here is exactly what that means, what we decided not to build, and who we are not.
What Thundr Mobile is
Thundr Mobile is a video chat service that runs at thundr.mobi. It connects you to one person at a time for a live video call. It works in a phone browser with nothing to install, browsing who is online is free, and calls are paid from a coin balance you top up in advance.
That is the whole product. It is not a directory, not a review site and not a wrapper around somebody else’s service — the hosts you see are on this platform and the calls happen here.
Who we are not
Thundr Mobile is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to thundr.com, thundr.tv, or any other similarly named service. Different companies, different products, different people. We do not speak for them and they do not speak for us.
We are saying this plainly, near the top, because the names are close enough that a reasonable person could assume otherwise — and because an assumption like that is a bad way to start. If thundr.com is what you were looking for, go there instead. We would rather lose a visit than collect one under a misunderstanding.
What we can tell you about is our own product: browser-first, one conversation at a time, prepaid, no install. Whether that is better for you than something else is your call, and you can find out in about thirty seconds without giving us anything.
Why the name, and why .mobi
The site is built for a phone, and .mobi says so before you click. That is the entire reason for the domain — it is a label, not a technical claim. A .mobi address does not make a site faster or rank better; it just tells you what kind of site to expect, which is the job a domain should do.
The brand is written Thundr Mobile, always, in that spelling. Not "Thundr" on its own — that is somebody else’s name.
The decisions behind it
Four choices shaped this product more than anything else. Each cost us something, which is why they are worth writing down.
The browser is the product, not a fallback
Most video chat services treat the website as a demo and push you to install the app. We went the other way. Everything works in a mobile browser because an install is a commitment you should not have to make before you know whether you like something. There is no download gate, no "continue in app" interstitial, and no feature held back to make the app look better.
Two people, never a room
A group room has an audience, and an audience changes what people are willing to say: the loudest person performs and everybody else watches. Every conversation here is exactly two people, with no way for a third to appear and no viewer count anywhere on the platform.
You pick the person
Random pairing is fast and it is also a slot machine — you spend most of your time skipping. Here you see who is online and choose, which means the first thirty seconds of a call are not spent deciding whether to leave.
Prepaid, so nothing can surprise you
Calls cost money and we would rather say so on the first screen than in a receipt. You top up a balance before you spend it, each host sets their own rate, and there is no card kept on file and no subscription. If you never top up, you are never charged.
What will never appear on this site
Promises about what a service will do are cheap. These are things we have decided not to do, which you can verify yourself by using the site.
Fake activity
No inflated online counts, no "17 people are watching this profile", no bot messages sent to make an empty inbox look busy. The people shown as online are online.
Invented credibility
No star ratings we made up, no user numbers we cannot substantiate, no awards, no stock-photo team page. If you cannot find a number on this site, it is because we could not prove it.
Pretending to be someone else
We do not use another service’s name, logo or branding to make ourselves look bigger, and we do not describe ourselves as anyone’s official app.
Hidden costs
No auto-renewing subscription, no card stored quietly for later, no charge for anything you did not start.
How to tell a real Thundr Mobile page
There is exactly one domain and one support address:
- The site lives at thundr.mobi and nowhere else.
- Support is [email protected]. We will never contact you from a different domain, and we will never ask for your password.
- We have no app on Google Play or the App Store. Anything claiming to be the Thundr Mobile app is not ours.
What it costs
Opening the site, seeing who is online and reading profiles is free and needs no account. A 1-on-1 video call is paid: you top up a coin balance, each host sets their own rate, and calls spend from the balance you already hold. There is no subscription and no card on file, so nothing continues after you stop.
