Community Guidelines

Short version: two people on a call, both of whom get to feel fine about it afterwards. The long version is below, because vague rules are unenforceable rules.

Last reviewed 24 August 2026

Who these apply to

Everyone using Thundr Mobile, on either side of the camera, on every surface of the service — calls, messages, profiles, photos and display names. Using the service means agreeing to these guidelines and to the Terms of Service.

You must be at least 18 years old to have an account. This is not negotiable and it is the one rule with no graduated response: accounts found to belong to anyone younger are removed.

What is expected

  • Be a person, not a performance. Real camera, real you, live. Not a loop, not a pre-recorded clip, not somebody else’s video.
  • Take no for an answer. The first time, without negotiating. This covers what someone will talk about, what they will show, and whether they want to keep talking at all.
  • Let people leave. Nobody owes you the rest of a call. Pressuring someone to stay, or guilt-tripping them for going, is itself a violation.
  • Keep it on the platform, at least at first. You are free to exchange contacts with someone you trust. Pushing for it in the first minutes is the most common opening move in a scam, and it is treated as a red flag.
  • Report rather than retaliate. If someone breaks these rules, end the call and report them. Do not handle it yourself.

What is not allowed

These result in action against the account. The list is specific on purpose — a rule nobody can apply consistently is not a rule.

People who should not be here

  • Anyone under 18, on either side of the camera
  • Anyone appearing on camera without their knowledge or consent
  • Impersonating another person, or claiming to be Thundr Mobile staff

Sexual content

  • Nudity, exposed genitals, or sexual acts on camera
  • Sexual content directed at someone who has not asked for it
  • Any sexual content involving, or appearing to involve, a minor — this is reported to the authorities, not merely removed
  • Offering, requesting or arranging paid sexual services

Harm to other people

  • Threats, intimidation, stalking, or repeated unwanted contact
  • Harassment or abuse based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or age
  • Sharing another person’s private information — address, workplace, phone number, accounts
  • Recording or screenshotting someone in order to threaten, expose or blackmail them
  • Encouraging self-harm, or content depicting it

Money and deception

  • Asking for money, gift cards, crypto, or payment of any kind
  • Investment pitches, trading groups, and "opportunities"
  • Advertising other services, sites or products
  • Phishing for passwords, verification codes, or payment details
  • Fraudulent transactions, chargeback abuse, or payment fraud

Illegal and violent content

  • Anything illegal where you are, or where the other person is
  • Weapons, drugs, or their sale
  • Graphic violence, gore, or cruelty to animals
  • Promotion of terrorism, extremism, or organised hate

Abuse of the platform

  • Bots, automation, or scripted behaviour
  • Multiple accounts used to evade a block or a suspension
  • Deliberately false reports against other users
  • Attempting to break, probe, scrape or overload the service

Profiles, photos and names

The same rules apply to everything on a profile, not only to what happens on a call. Display names, avatars, photo albums and posts must not contain nudity, contact details, advertising, other services’ brand names, or anything from the list above.

Photos must be of the account holder. Hosts additionally complete face authentication — a self-recorded video, well lit and with the face uncovered, which has to match the avatar and photos. Profiles where those do not match are not approved.

How this is enforced

What happens depends on how serious the violation is and whether it has happened before:

  • Warning — first-time or minor violations.
  • Temporary suspension of account privileges — repeated or moderate violations.
  • Permanent suspension — severe violations, or repeated serious ones.

Some categories skip the ladder entirely and go straight to permanent removal: anything involving a minor, credible threats of violence, and coordinated fraud. Content involving a minor is reported to the relevant authorities.

Accounts created to evade a suspension are removed as well, and doing so removes the option of an appeal.

If you think we got it wrong

Moderation decisions are made by people and people make mistakes. If your account was actioned and you believe the decision was wrong, email [email protected] from the address on the account, say what you think happened, and include anything that helps establish it.

We will not discuss action taken against someone else’s account, even if you were the one who reported it. That is their data, not yours — the same protection applies to you.
