The Rules, in Plain Language
The Community Guidelines are the policy. This is the version you actually wanted: what gets an account removed, what happens when you report someone, and what we look at.
The short version
Treat the person on the other side as a person. Almost everything below follows from that, and the two rules that do not — no minors, and never record or share someone without their agreement — are absolute.
The full policy is at Community Guidelines, and it is the version that governs. This page is here because "what will get me banned" is a fair question that a policy document answers slowly.
What gets an account removed
- Harassment or threats toward anyone on the platform.
- Anything involving a minor. No warning, no second chance.
- Recording or sharing another person without their agreement.
- Impersonating someone, including using a photo that is not yours.
- Moving people off the platform to scam them — the most common serious report we get.
Not every violation ends in removal. The response is graduated — a warning for a first or minor breach, a temporary suspension for repeated or moderate ones, and permanent removal for severe violations or repeated serious ones. The Community Guidelines set out that ladder in full.
The exceptions are the two rules at the top of this page. Anything involving someone under 18 has no graduated response at all, and when an account is permanently removed it cannot register again — a ban that can be undone by making a new account is not a ban.
What happens when you report someone
The report goes to a person. Not only to an automated filter — someone looks at what was reported and decides. If it stands, the account is removed.
You do not need to keep the call going to report it, and you are not put in touch with the person you reported. Report and block sit next to each other on the call screen for that reason: you can do both and leave.
Blocking
Blocking is permanent and one-directional. That person is taken out of your matching and cannot reach you again. You are never asked for a reason, and nothing is sent to them.
Worth knowing: because it is permanent, there is no way to reverse it if you block someone by accident.
What we do not look at
Calls are not recorded. There is no archive of them, here or anywhere.
Chat content is not routinely read. When something is reported, the reported part is looked at so that the report can be judged — and that is the extent of it. The Privacy Policy sets out what is kept and on what basis.
