Safety
What you can do in the moment, what we do afterwards, and the specific habits that matter when you are talking to someone you have not met.
Leaving a call
The end-call control is on screen for the whole call, in the bottom row where your thumb already is. One tap ends it. There is no confirmation dialog, no "are you sure", and no penalty — and you do not owe the other person a reason.
If something felt wrong, leaving first is the right order. You can block and report afterwards; neither requires you to stay on the call.
Blocking
Blocking is permanent from your side and takes effect immediately. A blocked account cannot call you, cannot message you, and will not be shown to you again. You do not need a reason and the other person is not told why.
Blocking and reporting are separate on purpose. Block when you simply do not want to see someone again. Report when they did something that other people should be protected from too — and if both are true, do both.
Reporting
Every profile and every conversation has a report option. When you report, pick the category that fits closest and add anything that helps — what happened, roughly when, and whether it has happened more than once. Specific reports get acted on faster than vague ones.
Report, rather than only blocking, if you see any of this:
- Nudity or sexual content shown to you, whether or not you asked
- Anyone who appears to be under 18, on either side of the camera
- Requests for money, gift cards, crypto, or "investment" help
- Threats, harassment, or attempts to intimidate
- Someone pushing hard to move to another app straight away
- Pre-recorded video played as though it were a live person
- Anyone claiming to represent Thundr Mobile, staff, or support
What happens after a report
Reports are reviewed and the outcome scales with what happened and whether it has happened before. The platform’s enforcement ladder is:
- A warning — for a first or minor violation.
- Temporary suspension of account privileges — for repeated or moderate violations.
- Permanent suspension — for severe violations, or repeated serious ones.
Being straight about the limits: we do not publish a response-time guarantee, because one we could not keep would be worse than none. We also do not tell you what action was taken against another account — that is their account data, not yours. What we can say is that reports are read by people, not only by software, and that a pattern across several reports is treated differently from a single one.
How hosts are verified
Hosts on the platform go through face authentication: a video recorded by the person themselves, in good light with nothing covering the face, which has to match the avatar and the photos on the profile. Profiles where those do not match are not approved.
This is a real check and it is not a guarantee of anything else. It confirms that the person in the photos is the person who recorded the video. It does not verify anything they tell you during a call, so treat what people say the way you would treat what a stranger says anywhere.
Protecting yourself
Platform tools handle what happens after something goes wrong. These five habits are what keeps most of it from starting.
Keep identifying details out of frame
A street sign through a window, a delivery label on a box, a school or work lanyard, the view from your balcony. People rarely give away an address in words; they give it away in the background.
Never move the conversation off-platform early
A request for WhatsApp, Telegram or a personal number in the first few minutes is the single most common opening move in a scam. On the platform there is a report button. On a messaging app there is not.
No money, ever
Nobody you met minutes ago has a real emergency you need to fund, an investment for you, or a reason to need a gift card. Any version of this is a scam, without exception.
Assume anything on camera can be captured
Screen recording exists on every phone. This is true of every video service, ours included. Do not do anything on camera you would not want kept.
Leave the moment it feels wrong
You do not owe anyone an explanation, a goodbye, or the rest of the minute you paid for. End the call, then block, then report.
Age requirement
Thundr Mobile is for people who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly allow accounts belonging to anyone younger, and an account found to belong to a minor is removed. If you believe someone under 18 is using the platform, report the profile — that report is prioritised over any other kind.
If it is urgent
If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. We cannot dispatch help and we are not a substitute for one.
For anything involving threats, blackmail, or images of a minor, contact your local police as well as reporting it here. Keep whatever evidence you already have — screenshots, times, usernames — and do not pay anyone. If you are being blackmailed over images, paying does not end it; reporting does.
You can also reach us directly at [email protected], or through the contact page. The rules everyone on the platform agrees to are in the community guidelines.
